Dell EMC World Took Vegas by Storm

Dell Technologies showcased new innovative products and solutions at the inaugural Dell EMC World

Dell Technologies put on quite a show at the Venetian. Over thirteen thousand techies and press from around the globe descended on Las Vegas to attend Dell EMC World 2017, the first annual showcase since the two companies' merger last September.

The event featured a host of new products, live speeches by industry luminaries, big-name entertainment and a strong vision for the future of business. Attendees enjoyed an up-close and personal experience with new Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and IoT solutions that are set to transform our world and our workforce.

"This is the first year we've done a truly integrated Dell EMC World, said Allison Dew, Senior VP of Client Solutions, "and to see it come together has been a really fantastic experience."

Among the most exciting new innovations featured were the Dell Canvas — created for designers and engineers, the Canvas provides powerful new ways to get closer to your work – and the Dell Latitude 7000 2-in-1. The 7000, comes with an optional wireless charging pad and dock that offers a first-of-its kind desktop experience.

On the Expo floor, there were exhibits and experiences geared toward every work style – from Corridor Warriors to On-the-Go Pros. Multiple caricature artists created on-the-spot illustrations on the Dell Canvas, and a rock-climbing wall, open to adventurous attendees, was used to demonstrate Rugged laptops' impressive durability. Engineered for the most intense environments, the Latitude 12 Rugged easily withstood repeated abuse and 6 foot drops.

The keynote speech by Jeremy Burton, Chief Marketing Officer, outlined many of Dell's current projects – specifically VR and IoT solutions — and featured partnerships with Nike and DAQRI among others. According to Burton, "In the future there's going to be much more natural ways of working and collaborating."

At Dell EMC World, attendees got a glimpse of the new, more natural flow of business, and taste of the freedom and flexibility Dell technology can provide your workforce. Did you miss this year's Dell EMC World? Watch our recap video below.
